[Nortrav goes International] Hong Kong - Day 2: Disneyland

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls. Heads up, as we are going to "The Happiest Place on Earth"

Welcome to Hong Kong Disneyland. and this is our Day 2 in Hong Kong.

I know it's your dream to go to Disneyland when you were young. Well, I also have the same dream. Honestly, this is the first Disneyland I visited.

Let's take a look inside. Before that, let me share first how to get there.

How to get there?
You may take Taxi or you may take bus from Tuen Mun, riding the route R33 bus, or at Tai Wan, riding the R42 bus (Source: Disneyland Hong Kong Website).

If you're from airport and very excited, I have good news for you. The Airport and the Disneyland are located in Lantau Island. So the access from airport to Disneyland is very easy.

But for our case, ride the MTR. Like I said in my very first post, it is very essential to have a System Map of MTR in hand.

Now you have arrived. Let's talk about the ticket. You may buy a ticket online or buy a ticket at the booth. Also, have a Disneyland Map Guide in hand as you will explore the entire place for a whole day.

But before you enter, you will encounter this fountain as soon as you passed the Disneyland Arch.

Now that you already bought ticket online or you bought ticket at the booth, its time to enter the gates to Disneyland. As you enter, there's, oh yes, you're right, another train.

Main Street, USA Train Stop
The train has only two stops, the Main Street, USA and Fantasyland. It's up to you if you want to ride the train or not. It's a free ride anyway. But if you want to see the rides and other amenities this place has to offer, have a guide map and start walking. In our case, we rode the train.

Fantasyland
Fantasyland Train Stop
Suppose that you ride that train and Disembark at Fantasyland. This is where you meet Winnie the Pooh. But this post is not about that bear who wants "hunny". Lets take a look inside the Fantasyland.

There's the Carousel. If you have kids, ride with them for safety.

There's this King Arthur Sword.

Well, goodluck pulling it out.

Let's take a look inside the Fantasy Garden, where you can have a close encounter with the Disney Characters, but because we arrived early or I don't know if the other characters are not yet arrived, the only character there is, well, Winnie the Pooh.

I don't know with this guy, but he likes my Yellow Jacket. The color is similar to his costume.

Luckily I escaped from Winnie the Pooh's place. As he wants me to replace him to his place (Haha). After that great escape, welcome to It's a Small World. If you know that song, good, because this place they will play that song in a different language around the globe. It was a good ride after all.

Adventureland
After exploring the Fantasyland, let's go South (If you refer to the guide map) and visit the Adventureland.

It feels that you were in a jungle. There's also rides here. One of them is the Jungle River Cruise and the Tarzan's treehouse. First, let's take a ride to the Jungle River Cruise. As you step in the boat, you will already experience the jungle-like tour as the boat moves along the river.

There's this elephant. It's not real by the way, but they move like a real one as soon as you passed by.

Then there's the another elephant. Be prepared, as this may sprays some water and you may get wet.

Now, as you enter this part of the journey, this is the exciting part.

This is somehow creepy.

Well, goodluck guys.

After that thrilling ride. It's time to proceed to Tarzan's Treehouse. To get there, you must ride a motorized raft and travel across the same river as the Jungle River Cruise traversed. As you arrived, it's time to walk through the Treehouse.

Tarzan's Treehouse
Let's take a tour inside this Treehouse. You will see a lot of recreated stuff, if you watched the movie.

After a short tour to Tarzan's Treehouse, its time to go back by riding a motorized raft again. Then let's proceed to Grizzly Gulch.

Grizzly Gulch
If you want to experience the Wild Wild West, this is the place for you. Plus, there's the thrilling ride, the Big Grizzly Gulch Mountain Runaway Mine Cars (which is unfortunately, I didn't experienced it).

Lucky Nugget
Oh, I almost forgot, they have geyser.
Geyser
Well this is a small area, as we proceed back to Fantasyland, we walk across Mystic Point and Toy Story Land, which is I don't have a single shot of those places.

Tomorrowland
If you want a futuristic place, then this is for you. There's a ride and a theater as well.

We don't have much picture here as we are after the parade. While we are waiting for the parade, we took a picture at the castle.

One thing I remember at this castle is my sister's Poly Pocket toy set. She has one and it is now at the cabinet for display. After a while, we walk through the Main Street USA area where the parade route is.

Main Street USA
Yes, you're in Main Street USA. But no, you're still in Hong Kong. There are shops for you to buy souvenirs. Or if your ticket you bought online is entitled to have a free waffle, claim it at Main Street Market, which is located here.

Main Street USA
We stayed here until the parade. As the parade ends, everyone went home. As the day ends at Disneyland, there's more Hong Kong adventure the next day. Stay tuned for Day 3 to Day 5.
