Hinatuan Enchanted River, Surigao del Sur, Philippines

Enchanted River is located in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. To get here is very simple.
How to get here?
Book your flights to Butuan, a 1 hour flight from Manila. Once you arrived in Butuan, ride a multicab to bus terminal and ride a bus bound to Bislig. Alight at Hinatuan Bus Terminal (Since every town has a bus terminal so don't worry about missing a stop). As you arrived at Hinatuan, ride a habal-habal to Enchanted River.
Some Restrictions and Reminders
The habal-habal drivers will not take you directly to the Enchanted River. You will go first to the registration area to register, secure a cottage and buy a food for your lunch. By the way, they sell fresh and they will cook it for you.
From the registration area, take a ride to a shuttle and that will bring you down to Enchanted River. It's a free ride so don't worry. Before you ride the shuttle, take note of these some reminders
- Bring nothing but yourself, most important valuables and towel.
- Leave your other things at the cottage, locals will guard your belongings so don't worry.
As you arrived at the enchanted river, rent a life jacket. It is required to have it even if you're a good swimmer. There are few notes here. The Locals don't allow you to swim at the blue lagoon side. Don't even try to attempt to swim at the Blue Lagoon and explore the deep side of it, Don't use sunblock or any lotion. Lastly, at 12pm, get out of the water for fish feeding.

They still don't know how deep that hole is. Historically, divers try to attempt of going there and never come back. The reason why the locals don't allow anyone to go there is to preserve the beauty of the river and the fish as well. A good work for the locals though.
Fish Feeding
At 12:00PM, lifeguards will announce that everyone should get out of the river for fish feeding. It's a must see to witness how the locals respect and preserve not just the river, but the fishes living here.

- Expect that there are no ATMs here at Hinatuan, so bring enough money for the duration of the travel

I must say, a good work for the locals of Hinatuan for preserving this river and the fishes living here. Enchanted River is a must see and deserves a huge respect. A place worth keeping and must preserve its beauty for the next generations.
