Kapurpurawan Rock Formation, Ilocos Norte

It's time to go back and explore to the north. Welcome to Ilocos Norte, located at the northern part of the Philippines. Well known for it's beautiful attractions and culture.

This is Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. Located in Burgos, Ilocos Norte. It is a 8 to 12 hour travel from Manila. To get here is very simple. You have two options.

- Ride a plane to Laoag and ride a bus to Pagudpod or Cagayan bound bus and alight at the Kapurpurawan Access Road.
- Ride a bus to Laoag and ride another bus to Pagudpod or Cagayan bound bus and alight at the Kapurpurawan Access Road.

Ride a tricycle and you will arrived at the food stores. From the food stores, there's a stairs going down and may walk by following the trail or you may rent a horseback ride.

Along the trail, the view is eye-catching. Take a look and enjoy the the waves of the Bangui bay. It's very relaxing.

You may now clearly see the White Rock Formation. Just be careful here because some parts of the rock formation is slippery.

Puraw means White. That is why it was named KapurPURAWan because of the color of the rocks.

Don't pick a piece of rock for souvenir. This is another country's treasure and deserves a huge respect. A treasure worth keeping and maintain it's beauty for the next generation. This has been a wonderful journey at the north.
