Santa Ana, Cagayan

WELCOME to Santa Ana, Cagayan. Also known as "The Paradise of the Northeast". For me, I will describe the place as the "Second Pagudpod", only farther. This is also the "Cagayan Special Economic zone and Freeport" where the "Port of Irene" is located.

Beaches and resorts are also located in Santa Ana, Cagayan. One time meron din Fishing area dito, but nataon kami na hindi fishing season sa Santa Ana.

How to get there?

If you are travelling by land, prepare for a 15-16 hours travel from Manila to Santa Ana via Tugegarao. Ballesteros Bus Line has a regular trip to Santa Ana (isang bus lang, 1 or 2pm). or pwede din Manila to Tugegarao (by plane or by bus) then rent a van going to Santa Ana.

As we enter the boundary of Santa Ana, Matatanaw mo na ang mga beach resorts along the highway, one of them is the Anguib Beach resort.

From the highway, you will turn right (may direction naman kung saan ka liliko) and prepare for a 30-40 minutes up and down the hill going to the Anguib Resort.

Anguib Resort is very similar to Boracay's white sand. only it's shallow. Imagine, malayo ka na sa shoreline, mababaw pa rin. This is perfect for the kids who are very scared on deeeep seas.

 As you can see, mabato ang beach, huge rocks on the water, actually pag malapit ka sa mga malalaking bato na yan, bukod sa matulis, malalim na part yan (in my case, hanggang hips)

Kung feel mo mag-swimming at umakyat ng bundok at the same time, there's a hill just beside the beach, unfortunately, walang pangalan ang bundok na yun. after climbing it, go down using the same trail, and that trail leads back to the beach.

There is also a rock formation na akala mo kweba. Matulis din ang mga bato na yan. Unfortunately ginagawang CR yung ilalim ng mga batuhan na yan. Like I said, parang kweba, so marami din syang pasikut-sikot yan.

You have an option to stay overnight or not, there's a cottage na may tulugan sa taas for the overnighters. For our case, hindi kami nag-overnight so we go to our "bahay bakasyunan" at Santa Marcela, Apayao, 3 hours from Santa Ana.

Santa Ana, controversial yung place, but its a perfect place to have fun. Especially for those who want to travel around the North. Try to go here, pero pagtyagaan nyo ang layo ng byahe. Trust me, hindi nyo pagsisisihan pumunta dito.
